Mark Safty, Chair, Energy and Infrastructure Group, Holland & Hart, LLP
Mr. Safty is a partner and Chair of the Energy and Infrastructure Group at Holland & Hart, LLP, where for more than 25 years he has represented companies operating on five continents in virtually every type of infrastructure development and financing transaction. He has extensive experience developing and financing projects in the renewable energy, healthcare, water, wastewater, and transportation sectors. He also teaches Renewable Energy Law and Policy courses at the Denver University and University of Colorado Law Schools.
Mark Safty was appointed as the Wirth Chair in Sustainability at the University of Colorado in 2013. The Wirth Chair is housed within the School of Public Affairs at the University of Colorado-Denver and honors the environmental and sustainable development achievements of former U.S. Senator, and Undersecretary of State and President of the United Nations Foundation, Tim Wirth.
John Kelley, Chair and CEO, CereScan
John A. Kelley, Jr. has been the Chair and CEO of CereScan, a functional brain diagnostics company headquartered in Denver, Colorado since mid-2009. Previously, John served as the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of McDATA Corporation, a provider of storage networking and data infrastructure solutions until McDATA was acquired by Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. early 2007.
Prior to joining McDATA, he served as Executive Vice President of Networks at Qwest Communications International from July, 2000 to December, 2000 after Qwest acquired US West in 2000. He was the President of Wholesale Markets for US West from May, 1998 to July, 2000. From 1995 to April of 1998, John served as Senior Vice-President and General Manager of Large Business and Government Accounts as well as President of the Federal Systems Group. Before his employment at US West, John was the Area President for Mead Corporations Southwest Region from 1991 to 1994 and Vice President and General Manager of the Industrial Products Division for Mead in 1995.
He has held senior leadership positions at NBI Corp., Alcatel/Friden and Xerox Corporation. John has been a member of the board of directors of Polycom, Inc. since March of 2000 and currently serves as the Chair of the Nominating and Governance Committee as well as being a member of the Audit Committee. He has served on several private company boards, Aztek Networks, Stored IQ and Circadence Corporation as well as local and national non-profits. John holds a B.S. in business management from the University of Missouri, St. Louis.
- Take I-70 to the Federal Boulevard exit.
- Proceed north on Federal Blvd. to first stop light (This is Regis Boulevard on your left and W. 50th Avenue on your right).
- Turn left onto Regis Boulevard and go to first stop light (Lowell Boulevard).
- Turn right onto Lowell Boulevard and proceed north past Lot 3 to Lot 4 (about half way down hill on your right). Turn into the lot and park.
- Take I-70 to the Federal Boulevard exit, proceed north (left) on Federal Blvd. to Regis Blvd. (50th).
- Take a left on Regis Blvd., take a right on Lowell Blvd., and go north to Lot 4.
From Lot 4 to the Mountain View Room
There is visitor parking on the left as you enter Lot 4. Claver Hall is the building directly in the front of the parking lot. Go up the walkway on the right and through the double doors on the left.
