Business Development:
For more than 10 years, iCAST has remained on the leading edge of sustainability and renewable energy projects. For most of our ever-changing projects, there is a need for business development assistance in various areas and capacities. Business development internships are a chance to gain real-life experience in getting a project off the ground, running, and successful.

Energy Efficiency:
Energy efficiency is a growing concern for citizens and a rising industry for new jobs and businesses. iCAST has developed community-wide energy efficiency initiatives that aim to simplify processes and introduce all-inclusive solutions throughout Colorado and the United States.

Marketing:
Outreach and communications are a strong component to help bring success to an organization. Areas of marketing that are covered in marketing internships include public relations, online marketing, SEO, blogging, advertising, graphic design, journalism, research, and much more.

Social Media Networking
iCAST is in need of students to conduct marketing for iCAST in the realm of social media. This campaign focuses on YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. This project will allow iCAST to communicate with the world at large about upcoming events, community projects, and fund raising opportunities.

Grant Writing
iCAST is constantly submitting applications for grants. These grants are the main source of income for the projects that iCAST undertakes, whether in Colorado or beyond. A Grant writer needs to have excellent writing skills and be able to convey intent and purpose in a well worded, but concise way.

Photo/Videography Projects.
iCAST has a need for videography students to make short videos for iCAST presentations and the website. Some needed videos include Intern/staff interviews, Project documentaries, and community impact documentaries.

ICAST Event Coordination
iCAST needs individuals with a strong sense of organization to manage and maintain the various channels of communication by which iCAST advertises its events. This will include signing up for and attending various functions such as Volunteer Fairs, Outreach Presentations, and Internship fairs.

Net Zero Greenhouse:
iCAST and Partners are helping Colorado’s Agriculture Community reduce their carbon footprint and increase crop yield by designing a net-zero greenhouse. The project includes the research, implementation, verification, and reporting on the most cost effective measures to achieve a carbon neutral greenhouse.

Accounting:
Accounting internships allow the opportunity to gain real-life experience in the management of funds and finances for projects with the unique perspective on focusing work with a nonprofit organization.

Small Business Technical Assistance
iCAST is providing technical assistance and capacity building to disadvantaged micro entrepreneurs in the sustainability, renewable energy, and energy efficiency industries. iCAST offers expertise in a variety of fields including; finance, market research, feasibility studies, resource management, and project financing. The goal of this project is to help micro entrepreneurs start or grow their business and subsequently create a positive impact on communities.

Web Design/Development:
As iCAST’s projects constantly evolve, there is a consistent need for internships built around maintaining and building programs related to online development. Conducting updates, building new pages, creating forms, and updating designs are some of the expected projects revolving around internships.
