Pathways through Community Partnerships

Through ARRA funding provided by the US Department of Labor & Employment, iCAST had the opportunity to provide green jobs workforce training and certification for the underemployed, unemployed and incumbent workers with the following grants:

The iCAST Training program was originally developed through partnerships with local workforce agencies, industry partners, and state and community agencies across Colorado. As a technical organization, iCAST’s engineering team and partners developed and customized online and hands-on training with a focus on the green industry, including renewable energy, energy efficiency and green construction.

To date, iCAST has trained over 1,379 trainees in face-to-face classroom training, 3,513 online trainings and 962 individuals in certification training for OSHA, BPI and NABCEP. With a team focus, we have partnered with the following lead organizations to accomplish these goals:

Residential Energy Professional

This course will prepare trainees for BPI Building Analyst Certification and covers best practices and procedures for the audit process, including an in-depth look at building science, energy analysis and audit reporting. CAZ Testing Simulator

iCAST’s CAZ Testing Simulator course is an interactive training game designed to accelerate the learning of CAZ safety testing. INTERCAZ is a cost-effective, comprehensive software tool that helps students and contractors master CAZ testing by engaging them into an absorbing, life-like training game, similar to that used for flight simulators used in pilot training.
