ICAST is excited to announce that it was selected to receive its first grant award from Albuquerque Community Foundation’s Emergency Action Fund for its New Mexico green job initiative. In light of COVID-19 and the resulting economic downturn, ICAST has retooled its Green Construction Careers (GC2) initiative to serve the greater Albuquerque community impacted by COVID. ICAST will work with local workforce development organizations and Santa Fe Community College to help unemployed workers, taking them from green construction training to job placement.
ICAST thanks Albuquerque Community Foundation for their support of its programming and commitment to improving economic stability in New Mexico. This new partnership with Albuquerque Community Foundation will allow ICAST to continue its vital work in New Mexico and bring tangible benefits to many New Mexicans.
