The law will also increase the state’s Renewable Portfolio Standard to require that 80 percent of New Mexico’s electricity is generated from renewable energy by 2040.
Massachusetts Includes Batteries in Energy Efficiency Plans.
The Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities (DPU) has recently approved the state’s new three-year energy efficiency plan, marking the first time a state has included batteries in an energy efficiency plan. This action now makes batteries eligible for funding support from the Massachusetts energy efficiency budget which amounts to nearly $2 billion over three years, ahead of any other clean energy grant or incentive offered by the state.
