ICAST submits Net Zero design to NYSERDA

ICAST and its team of architect (River Architects), energy engineer (Stengel Engineering) and general contractor (Bette & Cring) submitted its preliminary net zero energy retrofit design to NYSERDA as part of its RetrofitNY project for Troy Housing Authority and Beacon Communities.  Led by ICAST, the team’s proposed solution will eliminate the use of natural gas, add solar thermal and PV systems to the property, and achieve substantial energy efficiency - dropping the energy consumption from over 64 kBtu/ft2 down to 16.3 kBtu /ft2

ICAST team keeps growing

ICAST recently hired 3 new members to its growing team. Monica Paici is a new addition to the marketing team as the Marketing Advisor. She comes to ICAST from a long career in the marketing industry. Todd Troutwine joins ICAST as Construction Project Manager and is based in Utah and will oversee all construction activities. Leroy Ayon joins as an Assistant to Jeremiah Weil in Albuquerque to help oversee projects in New Mexico. ICAST welcomes these new members to its team!

The grid is becoming greener as natural gas, solar power, and wind energy become more affordable, and fully electrifying transportation and heating could reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the United States by 70 percent.
