ICAST has been selected as the multifamily program implementer for Pepco in the District of Columbia metro area. We offer energy-efficient upgrades for both income-eligible and market-rate properties and provide incentives to the full range of multifamily buildings.

Over the next three years, ICAST will serve 10,000 households.   By integrating its innovative one-stop-shop program into Pepco's Multifamily program,  ICAST plans to deliver over 200  million kWh savings and prevent  270,000 tons of carbon emissions  from entering the environment by implementing energy efficient upgrades in multifamily properties.

Multifamily Program

The Pepco Income Eligible Multifamily Program is designed to assist qualified properties in Washington DC with BEPS (Building Energy Performance Standards) compliance.

Through Pepco’s Income Eligible Multifamily Program, qualifying properties can receive an energy assessment, energy-saving products installed throughout common areas and residents’ units, and recommendations for energy-efficient building upgrades – at no additional cost.

□  A detailed report, including recommendations and estimated savings
□  Help with creating bid documents and specifications
□  Advice on financing options
□  Help to identify and leverage additional utility incentives
□  Assistance with benchmarking in ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager for BEPS


HOW  IT  WORKS


Step 1:  Contact us  and we’ll verify your property’s eligibility.  If your property is eligible, we’ll schedule your energy assessment


Step 2:  On the day of the appointment, a Client Solutions Specialist will evaluate your property’s lighting, HVAC, appliances, insulation, windows, and more – then provide an energy assessment that includes opportunities to reduce utility bills and maintenance costs


Step 3:  Based on your assessment and other program factors, your building may qualify for additional energy-saving upgrades, which your Client Solutions Specialist will schedule with you


ELIGIBILITY


Your existing multifamily building must include three or more units with Pepco electric service, and your residents must meet one of the following income requirements:


□  Participation in a federal, state, or local subsidized housing program
□  Proof of majority of tenant income levels at or below 80% of area median income (AMI)
  Proof of rent being less than 80% of avg. rent in the District of Columbia

Our hassle-free approach reduces paperwork and ensures you receive the best possible incentive. Contact us to see how you can receive incentives to cover up to 80% of the project cost based on your property’s energy assessment. Recommendations may address your mechanical systems, lighting, water heating, and building envelope. Pepco’s Income Eligible Multifamily Program incentives may be subject to federal, state, and local taxes. The customer is responsible for the declaration and payment of such taxes
