iCAST is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission “to provide economic, environmental, and social benefits to economically disadvantaged individuals and communities; and to provide education and training that builds local capacity." iCAST is focused on the following program areas:
Community Sustainability - Projects that assist underserved communities by incorporating appropriate and sustainable technologies into their businesses, communities, and homes. Green Jobs Training - Training, technical assistance, and resource development for individuals looking for jobs in the new energy economy. Weatherization - Energy efficient technical services provided to residential and commercial units to increase comfort and decrease energy bills.
iCAST partners with student teams, volunteers, government agencies, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, and industry partners to create a triple bottom line impact. iCAST helps communities use their local resources for their benefit. Our projects foster economic viability, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility in all types of communities - with a new vision for their future.
