Founder & President
Ravi is an experienced engineer and social entrepreneur who has established a variety of enterprises in India, Africa and the US with an emphasis on sustainable technologies. He is currently focused on finding financially sustainable models to solve the U.S. affordable housing crisis while tackling climate change through the efforts of ICAST and TBL Fund. Ravi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and Master’s degrees in both Engineering and Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin.
Susan Hom
Executive Assistant
Sue has many years of experience working in community relations with a global financial services corporation, including work in their Foundation and its Environmental Affairs unit. This experience gave her the opportunity to learn about the importance of sustainability. In that vein, Sue is pleased to work at ICAST in helping to further its goals.

Gene Cattani
National Business Development Manager
Gene Cattani has spent his career working with multifamily and commercial real estate companies helping them manage their utility expenses and reduce energy and water consumption.
He has worked with some of the country's largest multifamily real estate owners and managers including market rate, affordable, senior, student, and military housing. The combination of his energy and real estate experience makes him a perfect fit with ICAST.
Gene holds a bachelor's degree in business management from Seton Hall University. He is an active member of his community and serves as a member of the Board of Education for his local school district. In his spare time, he enjoys biking, ocean kayaking, attending sporting events, or just sitting on the beach.
Steve Kieffer
Business Development Manager - St. Louis
Business Development Manager Steve Keiffer has over 30 years of sales experience, with the last nine years in the multi-family industry. He’s excited to be part of a company whose focus is sustainable & energy efficient programs for the underserved population in the multi-family affordable housing market. In his spare, Steve enjoys boating, fishing, and playing golf, as well as cheering his hometown sports teams, the St. Louis Blues and St. Louis Cardinals.
Michael Castelli
Construction Manager
As a Certified Construction Manager, Michael Castelli brings over 17 years of construction management experience in multiple project roles. His primary function is ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at the quality specified, he successfully manages both the project and his teammates. Michael holds both a Bachelor of Science in Technical Management and an Applied Associates of Science in Information Technology. With the ICAST mission and core values aligning with his, he was drawn to join the ICAST team. In his free time, he’s an avid gamer and a 12-minute athlete (he’s efficient), as well as a sensitive strider, always on the lookout for others while maintaining stride.
Nataly Welch
Marketing and Business Development Trainee
Nat graduated with a B.S. from the University of Utah, where they received a dual degree in Environmental Studies and Sociology. During college, they worked with university faculty on several projects revolving around sustainability and how it intersects with our local community. Nat is passionate about environmental justice and aiding underserved communities. In their free time, they enjoy creating art, going to concerts, watching movies, and spending time with their loved ones.
Joseph Makyta
HR Specialist
Joe comes to ICAST with over 10 years of experience in customer relations and sales excellence in the hospitality and automotive industries. Having most recently held the roll of Conference Service Manager in San Francisco, he is well versed in communications, technology, event organization, and systems administration. Joe is passionate about strengthening communities, servicing underserved populations, and helping mitigate the impacts of climate change. In his free time, he enjoys reading, exploring nature, tinkering with small machines and spending time with his wife and cat.
Tristan Ikeda
Video Production Intern
Tris Ikeda is a BFA Film Major minoring in Leadership at CU Boulder. She is a current member of President Leadership Class and is the video lead of Senior Class Council on campus. On her free time, Tris enjoys hiking, watching movies, and teaching martial arts.

Inside Sales Development Representative
Neriah Israel is an experienced & driven sales professional with an extensive background in customer service and staff supervision. As an Inside Sales Development Representative, he’s known for providing excellent service, tenacious follow-ups, and relationship building. Neriah joined the ICAST team because of the mutual interest in helping underserved communities, like the one he was raised in (Marin City, California). When not working, he enjoys music and poetry, or his newest passion, investing in eco-friendly tech companies.
Derek Muller
Sales Engineer
Derek Muller brings over 30 years of experience in HVAC selling, technical support, and equipment design in the residential, light commercial, and commercial HVAC markets, where he’s worked with mechanical contractors, HVAC manufacturers, distributors, and engineers. He also has over 20 years of background designing and assisting VRF (variable refrigeration flow) applications. He enjoys product training and lunch & learns and working directly with teammates. In his time away from ICAST he enjoys playing golf, being at the beach, deep-sea fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and hanging out with his wife and their dogs. He also likes to RV and camp, and test out new recipes on the BBQ.
Angie Healey
Sales Coordinator
Angie Healey brings an extensive 20+ year administrative background to ICAST, including over 7 years of sales support experience. Although ICAST is a completely new industry for her, learning of ICAST’s mission is what drew her to the job. As a mom of 2, she has always felt compelled to give back to her local community, supporting those organizations that assist low-income families. Angie was born in Washington D.C., raised in Maryland, and has made Temecula, CA home for 18 years. In her downtime, she enjoys cooking, traveling, spending time with her boyfriend and kids, and loves watching football & hockey.
Erika Michels
TA Sales
Erika Michels graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a degree in Arts and Communications. After moving to Las Vegas, she took on a position with an experiential marketing exhibit house. She worked in sales for the live event/tradeshow/convention industry for over ten years. Having handled events for many nonprofits, Erika knew she wanted to integrate her sales experience with an organization that lends itself to making the world a better place and that’s what compelled her to join ICAST. In her free times, she enjoys spending time with her son, reading tarot cards, and taking long hikes with her Siberian Husky.
Amavie Clement
Sales Coordinator
As an ICAST Sales Coordinator, Amavie Clement works with both the Sales team & multiple other departments to coordinate and maintain project information, customer communication & relationships. Amavie brings a broad background in both the sales field -- B2B and B2C, as well as experience as an Energy Auditor leading a weatherization team. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Climate Change and Global Sustainability from SIT Graduate Institute. Amavie enjoys working for a company that provides energy-efficient and sustainable technologies to underserved communities to help improve their lives. When not working, he enjoys watching soccer and traveling to experience other cultures, food, and traditions. He also has a strong love of music and enjoys the therapeutic effects it brings to life.
Robert Fincher
Director of Sales
Robert Fincher has an extensive career in sales management and marketing and was a pioneer in utility management and conservation for the multifamily housing business. He has managed sales organizations with over 20 branch offices and 400+ sales representatives and has been responsible for all phases of operations, national sales, marketing, and customer service. With previous sales experience in multifamily utility, energy management in multi-unit real estate, cellular, broadband networks, security, and waste and recycling industries, he brings a vast and extensive background to the ICAST team.
Anna Marr
Senior Construction Project Coordinator
Anna has worked in the commercial construction/HVAC and service industry for the past 10 years
managing and coordinating hundreds of projects yearly across the country. In her previous role as
project coordinator/inside sales support, she facilitated projects from start to completion with
engineering, owners, contractors, and service technicians. Additionally, she has over 8 years of
teacher/training experience. Growing up in the south she began working in high school in her family’s
businesses, so sales and customer service became second nature to her. Anna has a BS in Microbiology
from the University of Memphis as well as a BS in secondary education from the University of Wyoming.
She has a passion for helping those whose voices may not be heard, fostering dogs in Memphis and
volunteering for numerous charitable organizations for the underprivileged. In her off time, you will find
her outside hiking, foraging, and spending time with her 3 children.
Justin Root
Associate Project Manager
Justin Root received his Bachelor of Arts from Southeast Missouri State University and his Masters in Urban Planning from Florida Atlantic University. Since receiving his Masters, his professional experience has been concentrated in the world of affordable housing for both non-profits and local government, most recently as a Project Coordinator for the Department of Housing for the city of Chicago. He also has experience in education, real estate, and social work. In his spare time, he manages his rental properties, spends time with his dog Barbus, and enjoys socializing with friends in Chicago.
Audrey Knox
Training Program Coordinator
Audrey Knox comes to ICAST with a Project Manager background and is passionate about sustainability education and action. She is dedicated to supporting climate literacy and action, with over a decade of experience managing the implementation of nonprofit environmental programs, designing and facilitating professional development training workshops, and writing sustainability curriculum. Audrey holds a BA in Sociology from West Chester University where she discovered her passion for identifying the motivating factors that help transfer knowledge into tangible behaviors. In her spare time, she can be found chasing after her toddler son or experimenting in the kitchen.
Scott Griffin
Proposal Manager
Scott brings three decades of diverse career experience to the ICAST team, including most recently in the cutthroat arena of for-profit government IT contracting in capture and proposal management. He’s passionate and creative, always ready to solve a new puzzle, with a bit of a competitive streak. His humble beginnings in rural New Hampshire gave him a particular affinity for the cause of bringing energy efficiency and cost savings to low-income and disadvantaged people. In his downtime, you’ll likely find him in the kitchen brewing up his latest crazy hot sauce recipe or in his garage jamming on his Les Paul.
Laura Conlin
Controller
Laura Conlin brings over 18 years’ experience to ICAST as a Financial Controller in multiple industries, including non-profits. She also has experience in renovating homes in depressed neighborhoods. These are just two of the reasons she decided to come on board with ICAST. Laura earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting & Finance from the University of Massachusetts in Lowell, Massachusetts which is her hometown. In her free time, you can find Laura on the beach somewhere fishing, S.C.U.B.A. diving, or just relaxing with family and friends.
Dan White
Program Director - PMO
Dan joined ICAST with over 15 years of program management experience in the lighting industry. In his previous roles, he managed both residential and commercial/industrial utility programs across the country. He holds a B.A. in Communications from The University of Akron in Ohio. Dan is passionate about addressing climate change while also helping underserved communities. In his free time, he enjoys being with his family, running, biking, hiking and watching movies.
Rudy Hernandez
Sales Manager - Multifamily Incentives Program
Rudy Hernandez brings over 17 years of experience in the renewable energy & eco HVAC fields to ICAST. Previously, he served as a sales executive as well as Vice President of Sales & Operations in these industries. Additionally, Rudy also taught and trained all new sales advisors. He attended Arizona Western College in Yuma, Arizona where he studied Business Management. In his free time, Rudy enjoys spending time with his family and enjoying the great outdoors.
Valerie Spina
Blockchain Researcher
Valerie Spina joined ICAST as a Blockchain Researcher as part of the AmeriCorps/VISTA program. Born & raised in Virginia, she holds a degree in Political Science from Virginia Commonwealth University where she focused on tech policy and social enterprise startup/development. She worked for Freddie Mac for several years, most recently on the Strategic Transformation team leading enterprise-wide adoptions of agile. Prior to that Valerie worked in change management & process redesign as well as interning with Ashoka. During her undergraduate time, she was selected as a Governor’s Fellow with the Dept. of Technology. Valerie is dedicated to service & interested in providing value to organizations that are making change happen. She has a great love of fine art & in her spare time enjoys painting as well as paddleboarding & skiing.

Zachary Mahroum
AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer - Outreach & Policy Specialist
Zachary Mahroum joined ICAST as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer Outreach and Policy Specialist within the Business Development Department. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Auburn University and is currently pursuing his master's in International Development with a specialization in Public Diplomacy at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver. Most of Zachary’s experience has been in the policy world working on elections, both local and federal, including most recently in the Colorado House of Representatives for Representative Chris Kennedy from the 23rd House District in Lakewood. In his free time, he enjoys traveling & meeting new people, and is an avid skier. He also enjoys all kinds of music & is constantly looking for something new to listen to no matter the genre. While he likes watching the Denver Nuggets, following auto racing, especially Formula 1 racing, is his favorite sport.

Duncan Nielander
Assistant Site Supervisor
Duncan Nielander lived in North Carolina for the first 24 years of his life, and in the summer of 2021 moved to Salt Lake City to work for ICAST and enjoy the weekend activities Utah has to offer. As a graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, he has been through multiple courses that are equally focused on problem-solving as they are the course materials themselves. His prior work experiences have involved construction, manufacturing, and supervision. Duncan finds the ICAST mission to help multifamily homes become more sustainable while keeping costs low for tenants both appealing and inspiring. In his spare time, he can be found enjoying cooking, skateboarding, slalom waterskiing, and snowboarding.

Rich is a US Navy Veteran and has experience in a variety of construction and procurement roles before joining ICAST. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Florida State College at Jacksonville and an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Mechanical Engineering from Coastline Community College. Rich is enthusiastic about bringing his experience together at ICAST to help bridge the social gap and help others go beyond their current situation. When not at work he spends his time cooking and being outside with his family traveling, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and camping. He has lived in 4 states and been to more than 27 countries but still has more to visit.
Nicklaus Watson
IoT Contributor VISTA
Nicklaus graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in May of 2021 with a M.S. in Sustainable Management and has since moved from Indianapolis to Denver to join ICAST as an AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer. He is motivated to help an organization that focuses on all aspects of sustainability, and by utilizing his undergraduate minors from Ball State University: Computer Science, Foundations of Computer Technology and History, he hopes to make a lasting contribution to ICAST through his role as the IoT Contributor. When he is not working, he enjoys practicing nature photography, exploring the neighborhoods of Denver, and spending time hiking through the mountains and forests of Colorado.

Data Engineer
Shubham Manoj Heda joined ICAST as a Data Engineer in the IT Department. Shubham has extensive experience using different tools and technologies such as SQL, SSIS, PowerBI, Data Warehouses, and Python. He is a 2021 graduate of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County with a Master’s degree in Information Systems. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology. Before ICAST, he was a Data Analyst for 3 years. In his free time, Shubham enjoys playing video games, trekking, playing football, and badminton.
Kim Teetzel
Marketing Coordinator
Kim has spent her 30+ year career in the Marketing field in various industries, most recently construction. She has seen & adapted to the changes in Marketing over the years (there was no social media back then!) and continuously seeks to learn about the “next great thing” that comes up. A graduate of Ohio University with a double bachelor’s degree in Marketing and English, she’s enjoys the dichotomy of Marketing because it uses both your right & left brain – for creativity as well as detail on demographics & metrics. A lifelong resident of Ohio, Kim & her husband Jay, have 2 sons & 1 daughter-in-law, and three granddaughters. While not working, she can be found enjoying time with family & friends, spending time in her ridiculous number of flower & vegetable gardens, traveling (especially to a beach area) and in the fall, watching college football.
Shoshanna Muszynski

Shoshanna has worked in construction for over three years, including one year in project management for renewable energy construction. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in graphic design from DePaul University and is currently studying for a Certified Associate in Project Management certification. Shoshanna is excited to bring both her experience in construction and her passion for sustainable solutions focused on low-income communities at ICAST. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, hiking, working on artwork, and fostering animals.
Adam Hemauer
Technical Services VISTA
Adam joined ICAST as an Americorps VISTA member in June 2021. He is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, where he studied Environmental Policy, and is extremely excited to be working with ICAST’s Technical Services Department as a Technical Services VISTA. Adam has experience as a community organizer for environmental and sustainability issues and is passionate about environmental justice and affordable transit. In his spare time, Adam is an avid hiker who hopes to one day complete his bucket list of all 63 US National Parks (including those in the Pacific and Caribbean territories!), although he gets just as excited to play another round of one of his favorite board games.

Maddy joined ICAST as an AmeriCorps VISTA member in June of 2021. She recently graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies and Urban Planning from Colorado College and is thrilled to be working with the Marketing and Communications Department as a Marketing Outreach VISTA. She has experience in the non-profit sector and is passionate about urban sustainability and environmental equity. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, camping, and backyard barbeques with friends.

Lillian excels at effective, intentional, creative communication that translates and clarifies complex issues for a diverse audience. Before joining ICAST’s team as Content Editor, Lillian worked in the Texas legislative space providing communications services to a wide range of organizations, associations, and corporations. She was drawn to ICAST’s mission to support communities through triple bottom line solutions that adapt to market and governmental infrastructure while actively seeking opportunities to change the game. She lives in Illinois and uses her spare time to learn about anything she did not know yesterday.

Energy Analyst II
Jaro received his B.S in Environmental Science with a focus on Energy from Santa Clara University. While attending school, he worked for the University Operations department on various energy/water efficiency projects around campus. Upon graduation, Jaro joined an energy consulting company as an Energy Analyst, and later an Energy Auditor, where he performed ASHRAE level 1 & 2 audits and worked on multiple retro-commissioning and M&V projects. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, hiking, and playing soccer.
Miguel Hernandez
Construction Site Supervisor
Miguel has been in the construction industry for 10 years. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Stevenson University. Following graduation, Miguel explored his passion within management and construction. Through his work, he has acquired and developed skills as both a laborer and project manager. Miguel joined ICAST to blend his interests in construction and humanities, by working to develop and create growth within his immediate community. In his free time, Miguel enjoys exercising, fishing, and playing sports.
Logan Davidson
Energy Efficiency Analyst
Logan’s past work and future goals are underpinned by a deep commitment to creating a more equitable and just world. He has an interdisciplinary background in natural hazard preparedness, solar energy development/construction, data analysis/visualization, web development, research, and community organizing. He loves traveling, being outdoors, painting, reading, cooking, dancing, people watching and so much more. Logan received a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California.
Unzila Chowdhury
Proposal Writer
Unzila Chowdhury is a professional grant writer and workforce development coordinator who has previously worked with unique groups such as Native American tribes and formerly incarcerated populations. She obtained her BA in 2017, double majoring in Environmental Science and Economics with a minor in Gender and Sexuality from St. Mary’s College of Maryland, a small, honors liberal arts school. Currently, she is a MA student in Nonprofit Management at Antioch University. She hopes to use her skills and passion to help disadvantaged groups who suffer the greatest impact of climate change. During her free time, she co-hosts a podcast called Run On Sentence, paints life-sized murals and drinks too many cups of Chai.

Shelby recently received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities and post-graduation moved to Denver, Colorado. She joined the team at ICAST because of her passion for sustainability, the environment and helping low-income populations. When not working, she enjoys spending her time reading, hiking, skiing, and backpacking in the mountains.
Tamara Long
Administrative Assistant
Tamara Long joined ICAST as an Office Administrative Assistant at the corporate headquarters in Colorado. She manages a multitude of essential administrative tasks including receiving and routing all incoming calls, mail & parcels, distributing documents as needed, and delivering essential materials to locations outside of the organization. Additionally, she provides administrative support for the Accounting, Human Resources, Engineering, and IT departments as needed. Tamara is a native of Las Vegas, Nevada but has resided in Colorado since 1991. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her granddaughter, as well as reading and enjoying nature walks.

Julie joined ICAST as an Inside Sales Consultant. Her experience includes property management, Mortgage Lending and Real Estate. She is excited to be working to improve affordable housing and having a positive impact on climate change. Julie has extensive experience driving and exceeding new business development. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, exploring nature, hiking and stand-up paddle boarding.

Nicolita Montoya
Energy Analyst
Nicolita (Nikky) Montoya is a Native New Mexican and a graduate of the Mechanical Engineering program at the University of New Mexico. Her previous career in financial literacy has allowed her to work with many families throughout the State of New Mexico as well as Southern Texas. She has dedicated her expertise to helping families in her community protect their assets through investment education. In her new career path, she is excited to bring energy and cost conservation into these very needed communities. Through integrity, a strong work ethic and compassion for her community, her genuine promise with ICAST is to add value to New Mexican communities and its environmentally sustainable needs.

Natalia has been in the energy efficiency industry for almost 3 years. She previously worked for the Wattsmart program through Rocky Mountain Power. Natalia graduated with a bachelor’s in psychology in 2015. She was interested in ICAST because she likes the mission behind the organization. She wants to do her part in making sustainability accessible to everyone. In her free time she likes to hang out with her family, her boyfriend, and her cats. Training Manager
Teacher since age 14, Kathy combines creativity with a deep understanding of adult learning and a passion for helping people get better at what they do. She’s committed to supporting others in making connections and building their capacity. She holds an MA in educational leadership from the University of Colorado Denver. When not collaborating and learning, Kathy loves being outdoors and cooking.
Kristen Cheriegate
Policy Analyst
Kristen Cheriegate has a decade of experience in the policy sector within topics related to energy, environment, mental health, and technology. She holds a M.A. degree from George Washington University, where she studied Security Policies and National Security Law, and a B.A. in Sociology and Criminology from California State University, Northridge. She is passionate about helping local communities achieve sustainable technologies, and is eager to help ICAST navigate the policy world to obtain real-world solutions.
Before moving to Colorado in 2019, Kristen spent 5 years in Washington, DC working with international and federal government representatives in the energy and technology sectors. She has conducted research and analysis for both the Center for Cyber and Homeland Security and the Center for European Policy Analysis. In her downtown, she enjoys going to the gym, climbing mountains, and failing at miniature golf.
Ian Lippke-Calger
GIS Technician
Ian is a graduate of Ohio University (Bobcats), from which he acquired a B.A. in Communication and Technical Management. He is presently in pursuit of a pair of certificates in Geographic Information Systems at Front Range Community College. Ian's technical skills and attention to detail make him well-suited to data synthesis and management, which at ICAST neatly combine with his interest in environmental sustainability. When he's not busy digging for data, you will likely find him scrambling up one of Colorado's 14ers.
David Poarch
Integration Engineer
David is a polyglot developer well-versed in multiple stacks/technologies, with the majority of experience in full stack web development, integrations, and also considerable experience in mobile app development. He graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor's in Computer Science. He enjoys running, cycling, swimming, and spending time outdoors.
Rey Acuna
Construction Site Supervisor
Rey Acuna was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico & has spent most of his life in the construction industry - beginning with his father’s construction company. While in high school, he began working at non-profit organizations as a community support worker. Although experienced in construction areas, Rey graduated from Central New Mexico in 2018 from their Paramedic program and worked for Albuquerque ambulance and the Albuquerque Fire Department. He joined ICAST after working on a boiler project for them. Ray also co-owns Zonatletica gym in Albuquerque and enjoys spending his free time with his two daughters.
Brandon Koyanagi
Energy Engineer
Brandon received his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville. Upon graduation, Brandon joined an energy evaluation firm as a Field Engineer, primarily focusing on measurement and verification requirements of efficient equipment installations. His previous role lent him experience in evaluating the gross impact of both residential and commercial efficiency programs administered by utilities across the U.S. A professional goal of Brandon’s is to lessen the impact of energy consumption upon the environment and underserved communities. In his free time, he enjoys tabletop role-playing games and hiking.
David Hunter
Director of IT
As ICAST's Director of Information Technology, David provides technical expertise, strategy and direction utilizing 20+ years of experience in the field. Prior to joining ICAST, David served as an implementation and technical specialist servicing healthcare clinics. He is excited to implement information and applications strategy to support ICAST’s mission. In his spare time, David enjoys cooking, traveling, and hiking.
Dan Golden
Grants Manager
Dan received his BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder and his MBA from the University of Colorado, Denver. He is a seasoned leader of people, partners and projects with years of experience in the environmental, energy services and renewable energy industries. Dan has served in numerous roles in Program Management, Business Development and Operations and Customer Support. Working for a nonprofit providing economic, environmental and social benefits aligns perfectly with his mindset for the 21st century. Executive Assistant
Sue has many years of experience working in community relations with a global financial services corporation, including work in their Foundation and its Environmental Affairs unit. This experience gave her the opportunity to learn about the importance of sustainability. In that vein, Sue is pleased to work at ICAST in helping to further its goals.
Ravi Malhotra
Founder & President
Ravi is an experienced engineer and social entrepreneur who has established a variety of enterprises in India, Africa and the US with an emphasis on sustainable technologies. He is currently focused on finding financially sustainable models to solve the U.S. affordable housing crisis while tackling climate change through the efforts of ICAST and TBL Fund. Ravi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and Master’s degrees in both Engineering and Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin.
Jeffrey Wilkinson
Director of Construction Management
Jeff has been in energy efficiency savings sales since 1991. Most recently he worked Consulting design/build for lighting and controls upgrades in St. Louis and nationally. Through his position he has had the chance to work with both the public and the private sector. Jeff enjoys helping our clients through all our cost saving and quality upgrading methods. In his free time, Jeff enjoys back yard bbqs, and has been a drummer for 30+ years in area bands and at his church.
Curt Shepard
Sales Development Representative
Curt supports ICAST’s business development efforts by calling on potential customers who are undertaking green upgrades to their multifamily properties. Prior to joining ICAST, he was Vice President of a nationally prominent real estate lender, specializing in multifamily financing, including low income communities. Curt has a Master’s degree in Finance and Capital Markets, and a Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate and Construction Management from the University of Denver.
Nate Murray
Business Development Executive
Nate is a business development executive who has previous experience working as a VP of Operations at an energy focused general contracting group, with a personal focus in selling multifamily housing. He was also a Sr. Account Manager, working with trade allies, multifamily partners, and manufactures to drive energy efficient choices leveraging participation in rebate programs. Although Nate works in Utah, he loves any opportunity to come to the Denver office to take over the ping pong table.
Leslie Welch
Proposal Writer II
Leslie is a nonprofit administrative professional with experience in proposal development, grants management, and community outreach. She graduated from Michigan State University (Go Green! Go White!) in 2017 with BA in Arts & Humanities/Public Policy. She hopes to use her skills at ICAST to provide sustainable living options and fight climate change. In her downtime, she can often be found doing grassroots community outreach, trying the newest coffee shop, and binge-watching Netflix
Noreen Beatley
Senior Program Advisor
Noreen has 20+ years experience working with affordable housing, energy efficiency, and sustainable community issues. Prior to joining ICAST, she directed several major HUD projects including the Location Affordability Index and the Community Health Index and Assessment Tool. She’s consulted for numerous national housing and community development nonprofits, and served as the Director of State and Local Policy for Enterprise Community Partners. Noreen holds a Master’s in Public Affairs from the University of Texas-Austin, and Bachelor’s in Urban Affairs and Political Science from the University of Rhode Island.
Ryan Kristoff
Business Development Director
Ryan works in several capacities for ICAST including writing proposals for grants, creating business development opportunities, and assisting with various marketing functions. Ryan graduated with a B.A. in History and Philosophy from the University of Connecticut, and has since gained several years of nonprofit development experience. He is an AmeriCorps VISTA alumni and is passionate about making a positive impact in the world.
Leah Porter
Accounting Administrative Assistant
Leah graduated college with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Accounting. While in school, she held part-time jobs that involved mainly administrative tasks. Leah is passionate about the environment, and believes affordable housing is important in times and areas of high rent. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, cooking, and reading.
Perla Bogado
Accountant
Perla brings over 15 years of accounting and administrative support experience to the ICAST team. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Universidad de Buenos Aires. She has previous nonprofit experience as well. Perla is bi-lingual (English and Spanish) and her hobbies include baking and gardening.
Marcia Cohen
Director of Finance & Administration
Marcia leads ICAST’s financial, accounting, and administrative functions. She is a former CPA and has experience as a commercial banker. Marcia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and a Master’s in Accounting from the University of Denver.
Brad Varnedoe
HR Generalist
Brad has spent 6+ years working in HR in the construction industry before joining ICAST. He received his Bachelor’s in Business Administration from The University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. Brad joined ICAST because he identified with the mission of the company. When not at work, he spends his time playing video games, hiking, and snowboarding.
Lynn Whitfield
Director of Human Resources
Lynn is a senior human resources professional with 25+ years of experience. A graduate from Roosevelt University with a Bachelors in Business Administration. She has a certificate in Advanced Human Resources Management from UCLA. She is excited about joining the ICAST team as part time HR Manager. In her spare time, you will find Lynn reading or antiquing for small treasures.
Ian Basinger
Business Systems Analyst
Ian handles the wide array of consulting projects, including PACE, RAD, and EPC (Energy Performance Contracting), that ICAST takes on. Ian has a background in solar installation and design, and holds a NABCEP PV Installation Professional Certification. He received his B.S. in Energy-Focused Environmental Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder and has extensive programming and energy modeling experience. Ian is an avid biker and speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
Kyle Heser
Energy Efficiency Engineer
Kyle received a B.S. in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and an M.S. in Renewable Energy Engineering from The University of New South Wales. He has led and participated in a number of capacity building development projects in various countries including Nicaragua, Nepal, Australia and Cambodia. Kyle brings an educational background in building science and renewable energy systems, and a year’s experience as a licensed HERS rater to his position. Outside of work, Kyle can be found either practicing or teaching yoga, or enjoying Mother Nature.
Rob Foley
Technical Solutions Specialist
Rob conducts energy audits, capital need assessments, and energy modeling for ICAST projects. He has worked in construction for more than 25 years. Rob holds a general contractor’s license, a BPI Building Analyst Certification, NATE certification for HVAC, and is an EPA certified renovator.
Ola Czastkiewicz
DSM Technical Manager
Ola received her B.A. in Environmental Engineering with a focus on Energy from the University of Colorado. While attending school, she performed energy audits for a variety of buildings on campus. Post-graduation, Ola went on to do mechanical design, drafting, and energy modeling. She then joined an engineering evaluation firm as a primary engineer, executing measurement and verification (M&V) requirements through onsites. Ola has a long history with nonprofits, facilitating the implementation and evaluation of building upgrades. In her free time, she enjoys playing ultimate Frisbee and experimenting in the kitchen.
Nick Grahf
DSM Manager II
Nick is a green collar professional with nearly ten years of proven success in design and implementation of demand side management (DSM) programs. By working for a nonprofit, he continues his mission to drive economic, environmental, and social change through energy efficiency. Nick holds degrees in Environmental Studies and Economics from the University of Colorado. When not working, Nick enjoys spending his time in the alpine.
Amy Smith
Process Analyst
Amy Smith brought over 20 years of construction administration experience to the ICAST team. As a Process Analyst, she works with all departments to ensure that projects progress smoothly, addressing any complications that arise to ensure the project meets deadlines and remains within specified budgets. Additionally, Amy watches project trends to see where difficulties might arise, then works with the appropriate departments to take steps to resolve the issue. Prior to her current position at ICAST, she was a Project manager for 1 ½ years as well. Amy enjoys working to help the underserved while also taking measures to reduce their carbon footprint. In Amy’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, camping, and fishing. She is also an AVID sports fan (Go Utes, Broncos, Jazz, and Dodgers!).
Anne Kubicek
Purchasing Agent
Anne received her BA from a nonprofit university in Illinois, and has 25+ years in the purchasing arena of the residential/commercial construction industry. She has a passion for the environment, and thinks working towards a more sustainable world is vital. When Anne is not working, she enjoys working with her four horses, trail riding, motorcycling, and traveling.
Bradley Frederick
Construction Site Supervisor
Bradley has worked in the construction industry for 25+ years, 10 of which have been in the nonprofit sector. In his previous nonprofit role, he was a manager for both a Refugee Resettlement program and a Homeless Services program. Bradley has certifications in Green Retrofit Construction, and is a Journeyman Painter. He has been able to gain skills throughout his years in the field by doing a variety of projects and working for a general contractor. ICAST has given Bradley the opportunity to combine his skills as a Construction Site Coordinator while managing energy efficiency projects throughout the multifamily community in Utah.
Monica Paici
Director of Marketing
Combine creativity and discipline and you have Monica Paici. Serving as the Director of Marketing at ICAST, Monica takes on challenging responsibilities, such as branding, utility marketing and project management. With 30+ years in the marketing world, she has a practiced hand that creates solutions for even the most difficult of projects. When she is not exploring opportunities to advance ICAST’s mission, she loves to cook. Ask her about how to bake the perfect chocolate cookie. It’s her secret talent.
Edward McIlvain
WAP Program Manager
Ed brings more than 20 years of management experience to his role at ICAST as the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) Program Manager & previously as a DSM Program Manager. He was a Product Marketing Manager for Arrow Electronics before he decided he wanted to shift gears to work in a career focused on sustainability. Ed completed a Master’s Degree in Environmental Policy and Management at the University of Denver. He enjoys volunteering at Swallow Hill Music Association, Colorado Mountain Biking Association, and Rocky Mountain Wild.
Jeff Hargis
Technical Project Manager
Jeff received his BS in Electrical Engineering from Ohio State and his Master’s in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado. Jeff worked in computer development at Hewlett Packard for 20+ years as an electrical engineer and engineering manager. He has been very active working in community development as a volunteer with Engineers Without Borders for several years. Jeff is a certified PMI Project Management Professional. In his free time he enjoys outdoor activities in the mountains, especially mountain biking.
Quinn Keenan
Energy Efficiency Analyst
Quinn received a BA in Mathematics from SUNY Geneseo and an MS in Engineering Sciences from the University at Buffalo. During his Master’s, he participated in a carbon reduction challenge, and assisted in research of a new insulation product. Overall, Quinn’s education piqued his interest in green building technology which led him to become a LEED Green Associate. His major professional goal is to combat climate change by making society more sustainable. Outside of work, he enjoys kickboxing, weightlifting, listening to music, and being outdoors.
